PCOS-related hair loss occurs due to a hormonal imbalance in estrogen and DHT. While estrogen drops, testosterone and DHT become more influential, which causes hair loss. Keśa hair growth oil is a blend of 6 different oils (rosemary, peppermint, grapeseed, pumpkin seed, bhringraj and coconut), each of which block DHT. That’s why it helps regrow hair much faster.

This is the scientific evidence behind it:

Coconut Oil:
- One single application of coconut oil on hair led to a 10% increase in the ability of the hair strand to be extended without breaking (Kaushik et al, JCD).
- One application of coconut oil on hair led to a 4% increase in how much stress could be applied to the hair without it breaking (Kaushik et al, JCD).
- Coconut oil reduces protein loss remarkably for both untreated and bleached hair when used as a pre-wash product (Kim et al., fashion and textiles).
- Coconut oil penetrates deep into the hair fiber and fills the hair cavity, which reduces any stress that is applied on the hair (Gode et al., 2012).
- When coconut oil is inside the hair, it limits the exposure of water & surface-active agents (such as salfates in shampoo), and prevents swelling/de-swelling of the hair with water. It also preserves the building blocks of hair (protect protein & lipids) from leaching out (Gode et al., 2012).

Pumpkin Seed Oil:
- Applying 10% pumpkin seed oil on mice with hair growth retardation led to significant hair growth, similar to levels of 2% minoxidil after 3 weeks (Hajhashemi et al, 2019).
- After 24 weeks of treatment for androgenetic alopecia, patients that received pumpkin seed oil had 40% more hair after treatment compared to those that received placebo (Cho et al, 2014).
- Patients with female pattern hair loss that were treated with pumpkin seed oil had an increase in upright regrowing hairs, similar to patients on minoxidil (Ibrahim et al, 2021).
- Hair scalp serum containing pumpkin seed oil led to a significant reduction in the percentage of fallen hairs (Teeranachaideekul et al, 2022).
- Topical administration of pumpkin seed oil on mice showed that there was a significant increase in the number of hair follicles in the group treated with pumpkin seed oil (Klein da Cruz, et al, 2022).

Peppermint oil:
- Administration of peppermint oil on mice showed a significant increase in hair follicle number, which was 740% greater than the saline group (Young Oh et al, 2014).
- Peppermint essential oil stimulates blood circulation to the skin, which may help with increasing dermal thickness, follicle number, and follicle depth (Craighead et al, 2016).
Rosemary oil benefits include:
- A human study that investigated the clinical efficacy of 1 ml rosemary oil used twice daily in the treatment of baldness in men showed that the group treated with rosemary oil experienced a significant increase in hair count at the 6-month mark when compared to before treatment (Panahi et al, 2015).
- Application of rosemary-blended oil led to an increase in hair length by 37.67%, while hair fall was reduced by more than 40% (Patel et al, 2025).
- A mixture of different compounds which included rosemary, led to a significant reduction in gray hairs and an improvement in hair growth. Additionally, hair thickness improved by 80.85% and hair fall reduced by 64.89% (Patel et al, 2025).

Grapeseed oil:
- Proanthocyanidins extracted from grape seeds promote growth of hair follicle cells by about 230% (Takahashi et al, 1998).
- Application of various hail oils led to the highest gloss being observed with grape seed oil (Demir et al, 2023).
- Pretreatment of hair with a complex (made from grapeseed oil) offered a good protection and reduced damage against the detrimental effects of sunlight (UV-A irradiation), seawater, and even blow drying of wet hair (Zulli et al.).

Bhringraj oil:
- Topical application of bhringraj had a significant impact on the hair growth of mice suffering from hair loss, leading to increased hair follicle number (Begum et al. 2014).
- Extracts of bhringraj were applied topically to rats. Hair growth initiation time was reduced to half on treatment with the extracts. The time required for complete hair growth was also significantly reduced (Roy et al, 2008).

This hair oil is made in New York, USA. It is an all-natural, cruelty-free, vegan hair serum.
